Cookham Wood Theatre Programme brings together theatre practitioners and young people who have offended to collaborate on creative projects. Through the programme young people are encouraged to express themselves positively and honestly, develop confidence and communication skills, and to build cultural engagement and ambitions as they move into new chapters of their lives.

Previous projects include a spoken-word and radio project delivered by celebrated poet and ex-offender, Lady Unchained.

‘It has been lifechanging. Lady Unchained has helped get my life changed, I’ve started to look for opportunities on the outside, and see that there is life after prison.’
