Dartford Creative ran from 2013 to 2016 and was designed to highlight and develop the work of Dartford artists and creative organisations, and increase the amount of arts and cultural activity taking place in Dartford’s town centre.

After a successful pilot, the programme offered:

  • commissions for local artists to create work for outdoor settings,
  • a training programme for local artists to develop professional and creative skills,
  • a mentoring programme to support local artists work in participatory and community settings
  • and the establishment of the Dartford Cultural Partnership, a group of local creative organisations and artists working together with Dartford Borough Council to continue the development of arts and cultural activity around Dartford.

The project was delivered in partnership with Dartford Borough Council and supported by Arts Council England.
