Gain backstage and technical theatre experience and skills with a range of leading theatre venues and companies including Russell Maliphant Dance Company, Theatre Royal Stratford East, The Central (Chatham), Donmar Warehouse and the National Theatre.

Led by industry professionals, these days offer hands-on practical experience of backstage and technical theatre including stage and production management, crewing, scenic design, lighting and sound.

Our next visit will take us to The Gulbenkian to see Battersea Arts Centre Beatbox Academy’s The Pied Piper on Friday 8th December. The performance will be followed by a stage management talk, set tour and Q&A with the Gulbenkian LX and Sound team.

These opportunities can lead to work experience placements with Icon and paid roles as part of the backstage crew on Icon’s professional theatre productions.
