Originally created for a home-schooling environment, Tropical Tours took students on a journey deep into the rainforest. Using pre-filmed, tailor-made workshops, the project used drama to explore a key topic on the key stage two curriculum.
Students were guided by six fun and engaging characters (played by professional performers) and encouraged to take on a range of theatre-based tasks to spark their imagination. By the end of these sessions, classes completed the storylines and created their very own feature films.
Even throughout the uncertain times of the Covid-19 pandemic, Tropical Tours was able to deliver individually wrapped packages of props, costumes, scripts and more to students taking part, as well as offer extra guidance to those who needed it.
